Biography

Sivanesan’s work is in the area of Environmental Chemistry.

Dr. Sivanesan Subramanian has established himself as an outstanding researcher and his credentials are impeccable. His h-index is above 48 and i10 index is 130 which are exceptional and he has around 216 research articles to his credit in the field of Environmental Science. He has guided 31 students who have been awarded PhD and currently 3 scholars are working under his guidance. His wide and deep knowledge in the area of Environment Science/Technology has also enabled him to obtain several funded projects. The knowledge acquired by Prof. S. Sivanesan made him publish several technical research articles in international peer reviewed journals with high impact. He is always very protective and helpful to his students and all his students are well placed in various countries. Several awards have been received by Prof. S. Sivanesan for his effective contribution towards academic and research excellence. He has won the prestigious Tamil Nadu State Scientist Award in Environmental Science (TANSA 2013), Research Excellence Award 2019, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Scientist Award-2017, UGC MID-CAREER AWARD-2017, Best Environmental Engineer award 2015. He also secured 1 st Rank in Co-ordinating with Iyarkai Mission 2012. He has also carried out consultancy projects for various organizations in order to assess the pollution load and perform impact assessment. During many occasions, he has expressed his concern towards crucial environmental conditions in India and has always worked towards its remediation. Dr. Sivanesan served as Dean of A.C. College of Technology around seven years and has developed the campus magnificiently by taking painstaking efforts to make it a model Institution. He has served Anna University in various capacities from being Registrar (i/c), Director of Entrepreneurship Development, NCC Platoon officer, Dean of A.C Tech campus, Chairman of Sports board, Anna University, and has proven his massive skills all through his tenure.
